Ingredients:

  1. Corn tortillas

  5. Lettuce, shredded
  6. Tomato, chopped
  7. Red onion, finely chopped

  10. Sour cream or crema
  11. Salsa or pico de gallo
  12. Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Fry the Tortillas:
    • Heat the cooking oil in a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. You’ll want enough oil to cover the tortilla.
    • Once the oil is hot, add a tortilla to the skillet. Fry until it’s golden brown and crispy on one side, then flip and fry the other side.
    • Remove the crispy tortilla and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

    • If using meat, add a layer of shredded meat on top of the beans.
    • Add lettuce, tomato, and onion.
    • Top with cheese, avocado slices, sour cream, and salsa or pico de gallo.
    • Garnish with cilantro and jalapeño slices if desired.
    • Serve with lime wedges on the side.
