Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick as Paris St-Germain moved top of Ligue 1 with victory over Reims.

Mbappe gave PSG the lead in the third minute with a volleyed effort from the outskirts of the area, defeating Yehvann Diouf.

In the second half, he scored once more, this time from close range on a through pass from Carlos Soler.

With his third goal of the game, Mbappe put his team ahead after beating Diouf with a Bradley Barcola cutback.

Reims looked strong and appeared to have scored through Junya Ito in the first half, but the goal was ruled offside.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, the goalkeeper for PSG, was frequently called upon to make several point-blank saves in order to preserve his team’s lead.

As a result, PSG is now one point ahead of Nice in the French first division.
